Tom Chatfield

Dr. Tom Chatfield is a British author, tech philosopher, and broadcaster who has gained significant popularity for his works exploring contemporary culture. He is currently a visiting associate at the Oxford Internet Institute and has written several books while working there, including "Critical Thinking" and "Live This Book." His novels have been translated into more than 24 languages and published worldwide.

In 2017, Dr. Chatfield decided to venture into the genre of techno-thrillers and wrote his first international conspiracy thriller, "This is Gomorrah," which was published in 2019. He is a self-proclaimed "geeky father" of a few small children and enjoys playing jazz piano. Dr. Chatfield is passionate about helping people understand digital technology and its impact on engagement, policy, and education. He is currently a visiting faculty member at the Said Business School, a faculty member at the London School of Life, a media and technology advisor at Agathos LLP, and a senior expert at the Global Governance Institute.

Dr. Chatfield has worked with various organizations, including the BBC, Future Lab, SAGE Publications, Channel 4 Education, and Google. He has also delivered a popular talk on TED and made media appearances on networks such as Fox News, ABC, CNN, and BBC television. Dr. Chatfield has written columns for several publications, including Wired, the Financial Times, Sunday Times, New Scientist, and The Guardian. He is currently working on a series of thrillers for Hodder set in the world of the dark net.
