Dr. Steve Pieczenik is a renowned author and former U.S. Deputy Assistant Secretary of State, with a distinguished career in both government and literature. Born in Cuba, Pieczenik was raised in France and the United States, and he went on to study psychology at Harvard, medicine at Cornell, and international relations at MIT, where he earned his PhD. His professional experience in government is just as impressive, having served under four different administrations as a Deputy Secretary of State, Hostage Negotiator, and International Crisis Manager.
As an author, Pieczenik is best known for his historical fiction, spy fiction, military fiction, and thriller novels. He has co-created two best-selling series with Tom Clancy, Op-Center and Net Force, and is also the executive producer of the TV version of the novels. Pieczenik's expertise in international relations and crisis management is evident in his writing, which often explores psychological and political themes. His most recent novel, State Of Emergency, has been sold to ABC Pictures for television film rights.
In addition to his work in government and literature, Pieczenik is an experienced entrepreneur and investor. He has started several successful companies in various industries, including publishing, medicine, banking, and television/film. He has also employed his methodologies in these industries and has been involved as an Angel Investor with starting 28 companies. Pieczenik's diverse background and experiences have given him a unique perspective and expertise in a variety of fields.
