Before turning to writing, Whitelaw had a successful career as the Secretary of the Parliamentary Press Gallery at the House of Commons. Her experience in this role, as well as her natural talent for storytelling, has no doubt contributed to her success as an author. Whitelaw is perhaps best known for her Jordan Lacey book series and the Casey Jones-Cruise Ship Mystery series, both of which have been well-received by readers and critics alike.
In addition to her work in fiction, Whitelaw has also written a number of cat books, no doubt inspired by her own beloved pets. Despite suffering from pollution-induced asthma, Whitelaw has found solace in walking the Sussex coast and South Downs, taking in the healing views and finding inspiration for her writing. With such a prolific and varied career, it's no wonder that Stella Whitelaw is considered a leading voice in British fiction.
