Selena Montgomery

Selena Montgomery is the pseudonym of Stacey Abrams, an accomplished American politician, lawyer, voting rights activist, and author. Abrams gained recognition under the name Selena Montgomery for her bestselling romantic suspense novels, including "Lead from the Outside" and "Our Time is Now." Prior to her career as a writer, Abrams pursued higher education, earning degrees from Yale Law School, Spelman College, and the University of Texas LBJ School of Public Affairs.

In addition to her work as an author, Abrams has made significant contributions to public service. She served as Minority Leader in the House of Representatives of Georgia for nearly a dozen years and, in 2018, ran for the governorship of Georgia. These organizations aim to tackle social issues, train and hire people of color, and encourage voter participation at the international, national, and state levels.

Abrams' dedication to her community is evident through her involvement in various boards and councils. She is a member of the Council on Foreign Relations and sits on the boards of the Marguerite Casey Foundation, Climate Power 202, Center for American Progress, and the Women's National Basketball Players Association. Abrams has consistently advocated for social change and has been a powerful voice in addressing critical issues at both local and global levels.
