Renowned children's fiction author Ron Roy has been delighting young readers since 1974 with his captivating and educational book series. Born Wallace Ronald Roy, the author was once a shy child who found solace in the pages of books. This early love for reading would eventually lead him to become a fourth-grade teacher after college, and later, a successful children's book author.
Roy's writing career took off in the 1970s when he sold his first book. Since then, he has published close to 130 works, with his most popular series being A to Z Mysteries. This engaging series, which follows the adventures of amateur sleuths Dink, Josh, and Ruth Rose, has captivated young readers and sparked an interest in reading and mystery-solving. In addition to the A to Z Mysteries series, Roy is also the author of the Calendar Mysteries and Capital Mysteries series.
When not writing, Roy enjoys filling his time with various hobbies and interests. He is an avid poker player and enjoys traveling to new places. He also has a soft spot for animals and enjoys teaching new tricks to his dog, Pal.
