R.L. Mathewson is a bestselling author of paranormal and contemporary romance novels, hailing from Massachusetts. She is known for her ability to write humorous and relatable characters, which she developed during her childhood when she was a painfully shy bookworm. After high school, Mathewson attended college, and worked a variety of jobs including a bellhop, fast food cook, museum worker, and EMT. It was her experience as an EMT that helped her overcome her shyness and provided her with material that would later appear in her novels.

Mathewson is a prolific writer, having published over thirty titles across several series, including "Hollywood Hearts," "Pyte/Sentinel," "Neighbor from Hell," "EMS," "Cursed Hearts," "Honeymoon from Hell," "Anger Management," and "Neighbor from Hell YA."
