Nick Eliopulos

Nick Eliopulos was born and raised in Jacksonville, Florida, where he developed a love for super-hero comics and books about topics such as alien abductions, psychic phenomena, and Sasquatch. Eliopulos was fortunate to have parents and teachers who encouraged his unique reading habits, which eventually led him to pursue a degree in cultural studies at the University of Florida.

After graduating, Eliopulos moved to New York to begin a career in publishing. Over the course of his thirteen-year career as a children’s book editor, he had the opportunity to write for various licensed properties, including Thomas the Tank Engine, DC Super Friends, and Scholastic’s New York Times bestselling multiplatform series Spirit Animals. Eliopulos’s original comics work has also been featured in anthologies such as Stuck in the Middle and First Kiss (Then Tell).

Eliopulos’s debut novel, The Adventurers Guild, co-authored with his best friend Zack Loran Clark, is set to be published by Hyperion in October 2017. The book is heavily inspired by the duo’s collaborative storytelling experiences with tabletop role-playing games, as they have been in the same weekly gaming group for nearly a decade. Eliopulos currently resides in Brooklyn with his husband, a fellow editor, author, and Southern transplant. He is currently employed as a narrative designer for an indie video game studio and continues to read super-hero comics, holding on to the hope that Sasquatch may still be out there.
