Maxine Paetro

Maxine Paetro is an accomplished American author, best known for her collaborations with James Patterson on popular series such as Women’s Murder Club, Private, and Confession. Paetro has made significant contributions to these series, which have captivated readers worldwide with their suspenseful and thrilling storylines.

Before her collaborations with Patterson, Paetro had already established herself as a talented writer. In 1979, she published her first book, How to Put Your Book Together and Get a Job in Advertising, which received four revisions up to August 2010. Paetro also authored three novels, Manshare, Babydreams, and Windfall, between 1986 and 1991. In addition, she demonstrated her versatility as a writer in 1993 when she collaborated with Dodd Darin to write the biography Dream Lovers: The Magnificent Shattered Lives of Bobby Darin and Sandra Dee.

Maxine Paetro is not only a gifted writer but also a creative gardener. In 1984, she established Broccoli Hall, an English-style cottage garden in Amenia, New York. The garden features a series of enchanted garden rooms and has been showcased in various national magazines, reflecting Paetro's eye for detail and design. She is married to John A. Duffy, a former surety bond executive, and has one stepson.
