Charles Lutwidge Dodgson, better known by his pen name Lewis Carroll, was an English author, mathematician, logician, Anglican clergyman, and photographer. He was born in 1832 and passed away in 1898. Carroll is most famous for his novels "Alice's Adventures in Wonderland" and its sequel "Through the Looking-Glass," as well as his poems "The Hunting of the Snark" and "Jabberwocky". These works are considered to be within the genre of literary nonsense.
In addition to his writing career, Carroll was also a mathematician, logician, and photographer. He was a lecturer in mathematics and logic at Oxford University and published academic papers under his real name. As a photographer, Carroll was known for his portraits and is considered to be a pioneer in the field.
Despite his prolific career, much of Carroll's life remains a mystery, with several years unaccounted for. He was a shy and pedantic man, yet also possessed a vivid imagination and a gift for word play and fantasy. In addition to his works published under the name Lewis Carroll, he also published works under his real name, Charles Lutwidge Dodgson. Overall, Carroll stands out as a unique and inventive literary genius, with a wide range of talents and accomplishments.
