Leonard Sanders

Leonard M. Sanders, Jr. was a notable American author who wrote under the names Leonard Sanders and Dan Thomas. He was born in Denver, Colorado, on January 15, 1929, and passed away just over a month after his 76th birthday. Sanders was known for his science fiction novels and near-future thrillers that showcased his unique storytelling abilities.

Under the name Dan Thomas, Sanders wrote "The Seed," a science fiction novel published in 1968. As Leonard Sanders, he authored the Hamlet Group sequence of very near-future thrillers. This series included "The Hamlet Warning" (1976) and "The Hamlet Ultimatum" (1979), which followed America's attempts to prevent terrorists known as The Hamlet Group from detonating an atomic device in Santo Domingo.
