Laura Bradford

Laura Bradford is a highly accomplished American author, well-known for her mystery and romance novels. She has written several series, including the Southern Sewing Circle Mysteries under the pseudonym Elizabeth Lynn Casey, the Jenkins & Burns mysteries, and the Amish Mysteries series. Bradford's love for writing began at a young age, and she has been writing ever since. At the age of ten, she wrote her second novel, O'Casey's Wish, and sent it off to a publishing house, only to be rejected. However, she still maintains hope that the novel will be published one day.

Bradford is a graduate of Xavier University in Cincinnati, Ohio, and has lived in various parts of the country, including Connecticut, New Jersey, South Carolina, Ohio, Alabama, Missouri, and Tennessee. She has finally settled in a peaceful suburban area of New York City with her family. Before becoming a full-time writer, Bradford worked as a newspaper press reporter and freelance writer. She has since received nominations for the Agatha Award and won the RT Reviewer's Choice Award for her romance novels.

Bradford's love for writing began during a rainy afternoon at a friend's house when she was a child. She started writing and illustrating stories for young children, and by the age of ten, she had written a novel called O'Casey's Wish, which she sent to a publishing house in New York. Although she received a rejection letter, she kept the original copy of her manuscript, hoping that it would be published one day. Bradford then went on to write jokes, stories of angst, movie reviews, and news and feature articles for various publications. She finally realized her dream of becoming a fiction writer when she started writing novels while raising her children. Today, she is a bestselling mystery author with Berkley Prime Crime (Penguin Publishing) and an award-winning romance author with Harlequin American. She currently lives in New York with her family.
