Kim Harrison

Kim Harrison is the pseudonym of American author Dawn Cook, who is well-known for her unique brand of urban fantasy and graphic novels. She was born in Detroit, Michigan, and spent her formative years in the Midwest. After graduating from the University of Michigan, she began her writing career, producing works in various genres, including young adult fiction. Although she currently resides in Michigan, she still spends time in her former home of South Carolina.

Harrison is best known for her New York Times #1 best-selling Hollows series, which has captivated readers worldwide. The series, featuring Rachel Morgan, has garnered considerable success and praise. In addition to the Hollows series, Harrison has written under her real name, Dawn Cook, producing the Truth series and the Decoy Princes series. She has also penned the Madison Avery series under the Kim Harrison pseudonym.

Besides her urban fantasy and traditional fantasy works, Harrison has explored other genres, including young adult and accelerated-science thriller. She has published over two-dozen books and has even scripted two original graphic novels set in the Hollows universe. Harrison is currently working on a new Hollows book, all while balancing other, non-related urban fantasy projects.
