Kate Hewitt

Kate Hewitt is a prolific author, having written over 40 novels of romance and women’s fiction. She is best known for her gripping and emotional page-turners, which often fall under the category of contemporary issue-driven women's fiction. Her novels have been praised by readers for being “unputdownable” and “the most emotional book I have ever read.”

Hewitt was born in Pennsylvania and discovered her passion for writing at the young age of 13. Growing up, she spent a significant amount of time at her family’s cottage in Ontario, Canada, where she would make maple syrup and collect raspberries. Her experiences during her summers in Canada have likely provided her with inspiration and material for her writing.

In addition to her work under the name Kate Hewitt, she has also written historical fiction under the name Katharine Swartz. Under this pseudonym, she is the author of the Tales from Goswell series, a series of time-slip novels set in the village of Goswell. Hewitt is an American ex-pat and currently resides in a small market town in Wales with her husband and five children, along with their two Golden Retrievers. She enjoys reading women's fiction, mystery and thrillers, as well as historical novels, and particularly enjoys well-drawn characters and avoids high-concept plots.
