Jude Hardin

Jude Hardin is a successful American novelist, known for his crime thriller and psychological suspense novels. He is best known for writing the Nicholas Colt series. Before becoming an author, Hardin had a diverse range of experiences, having worked jobs that ranged from installing fences and delivering pizzas to bartending and cleaning carpets. He even worked as a drummer, avionics technician, substitute teacher, registered nurse, and film extra. These experiences have given him a wealth of perspectives to draw upon in his chosen profession as an author.

Hardin earned his degree in English from the University of Louisville in 1983. When he's not writing, he enjoys pursuing activities such as drumming, playing tennis, reading, and fishing with his son. Hardin currently resides in northeast Florida.

Hardin is known for his detective thriller mystery novels and has had a varied career before becoming an author. Some of the jobs he held include being a registered nurse, substitute teacher, chemical plant supervisor, carpet cleaner, avionics technician, bartender, professional drummer, film extra, freelance journalist, convenience store clerk, pizza delivery man, and fence installer. Despite not finding a publisher for his first novel for several years, he persisted and eventually signed a multi-book contract with Amazon's Thomas and Mercer. His first novel, Pocket-47, was moderately successful in its first year. However, it was not until he quit his job in 2012 to focus on his writing career that he experienced significant success. He went on to write seven titles, including a short story, two novellas, and four novels in the year following his career change. This is a remarkable accomplishment for any author.
