Ilona Andrews is the pen name of a successful husband-and-wife writing team. Ilona is a native Russian who moved to the United States as a teenager, while her husband, who goes by Gordon, is a former communications sergeant in the U.S. Army. Contrary to popular belief, Gordon was never an intelligence officer with a license to kill, and Ilona was not a mysterious Russian spy who seduced him. They met in college, in English Composition 101, where Ilona received a better grade, much to Gordon's chagrin.
Ilona and Gordon currently reside in Texas with their two children and several pets. They have co-authored several bestselling series together, including the urban fantasy Kate Daniels series, the romantic urban fantasy of The Edge, the paranormal romance of Hidden Legacy, and the Innkeeper Chronicles, which they post as a free weekly serial on their website. Ilona generally writes urban fantasy novels, and her husband assists her in the writing process.
