Helen Cadbury

Helen Cadbury was a talented author known for her work in poetry, plays, and fiction. She led a varied career before turning to writing, including working as an actor and a teacher. Cadbury's poetry has been featured in two anthologies published by Cinnamon Press.

Cadbury's experience as an actor helped inform her writing, and she eventually transitioned to a career as a teacher. She had a passion for teaching and worked in a women’s prison, as well as delivering training in youth arts. Her experience as an educator and her work in the criminal justice system gave her a unique perspective that is reflected in her writing.

Cadbury earned a Master of Arts degree in Writing from Sheffield Hallam University. She was born in Birmingham and Oldham, and later lived in London for many years before settling in York, where she lived with her family. Sadly, Helen Cadbury passed away in July 2017. She left behind a legacy of exceptional writing and a profound impact on the lives of her students and readers.
