H.L. Burke

Hamblyre "H.L." Burke was born in a small town in north central Oregon, where she spent her childhood surrounded by trees, farm animals, and books. Middle Earth and Narnia were constant companions in her youth, shaping her into an incurable romantic. As a self-proclaimed addictive personality, Burke jumped from one fandom to another, becoming completely engrossed in various books, movies, and television series such as Lord of the Rings, Star Wars, and Star Trek. Over time, she has evolved into a self-described well-rounded connoisseur of geek culture.

Currently, Burke is married to her high school sweetheart, a US Marine, and together they have two daughters and several pets. Having moved multiple times in her adult life, Burke has come to believe that home is wherever her family is. Burke is an accomplished author with a diverse range of published works. Her notable series include "The Dragon and the Scholar," a four-part fantasy/romance series, the Award Winning (2016 Realm Award for Young Adult Fiction) Nyssa Glass Steampunk series, and the MG/Fantasy novel "Cora and the Nurse Dragon."
