Deborah Raney

Deborah Raney is an accomplished American author, best known for her Christian fiction. Her writing career began with the success of her first novel, 'A Vow to Cherish', which was adapted into a television film by World Wide Pictures. This achievement launched her into a successful career, and she has since written over forty books, many of which have won prestigious awards such as RWA's RITA Award, the ACFW Carol Award, the National Readers Choice Award, and the HOLT Medallion. Deborah is also a three-time Christy Award finalist.

Originally from Kansas, Deborah and her husband, Ken Raney, recently moved to Missouri to be closer to their family, including their four children and twelve grandchildren. They enjoy spending time together on road trips, browsing garage sales, and having breakfast on their screened porch overlooking their wooded backyard. Deborah's love for her family is evident in her writing, as she draws inspiration from her experiences as a mother and wife.

In addition to her successful writing career, Deborah is also an experienced teacher and has served on the board of the American Christian Fiction Writers for eighteen years. She enjoys teaching at writers conferences around the country and has recently released her first book on the craft of writing, 'Writing Cinematically: 12 Movie Techniques to Bring Your Novel to Life'.
