David Sherman is a renowned author, best known for his works in the science fiction and military novel genres. He has an extensive and varied background that has greatly influenced his writing career. Sherman began his writing career writing about his own experiences as a US Marine in Vietnam, and has since written in a variety of genres, including fantasy, horror, and military science fiction. He has even written a Star Wars novel, showcasing his versatility as an author.
Sherman's writing is informed by his diverse background and experiences. Prior to becoming a full-time writer in 1986, he held a variety of jobs, mostly in supervisory and managerial roles. Sherman is an alumnus of the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts and worked as a sculptor for many years before turning to writing. This artistic background is evident in his descriptive and vivid writing style.
