D.J. Butler

D.J. Butler, also known as Dave Butler, is a successful American author of science fiction, fantasy, and adventure novels. Hailing from the Rocky Mountain west, Butler has a diverse background that includes working as a legal expert for a major multinational semiconductor manufacturer and as a securities lawyer before becoming a private practice attorney. In addition to his legal career, Butler is a corporate trainer, consultant, and teacher of business acumen for some of the top companies in the United States.

Butler is not only a novelist but also a lover of languages, guitar player, and voracious reader. He has been authoring works of fiction since 2010, with his novels covering a wide range of genres, including horror, dystopian fiction, alternate history, superhero, cyberpunk, steampunk, space opera, science fiction, and fantasy. Butler's works have been published by Knopf, Baen, and WordFire Press, and he writes for adult readers, young adults, and middle-grade readers. He is also the Acquisitions Editor for WordFire Press and performs improvised interactive theater at fantasy and science fiction conventions with friends from his writing groups.
