Crystal Cestari

Crystal Cestari is an up-and-coming writer who has a few books to her name. She currently resides in the city of Chicago and has had a passion for writing ever since she was in the fifth grade. Cestari's interest in writing stems from her love of reading and the joy she derives from telling stories. She is always eager to share what she loves doing with the rest of the world, which is why she can always be found with a notebook and a pen. For Cestari, carrying a notebook is the easiest way to ensure that she remembers her ideas for future use, and it is less intimidating than staring at a blank computer screen.

Cestari has always been wise beyond her years, as evidenced by the fact that when she was in the fifth grade, she filled out a profile declaring that she wanted to be an author. At the time, she wrote that she wanted to be an author because she loved reading and stories and wanted to share that love with others. This sentiment still holds true for Cestari today. She currently lives just outside of Chicago with her daughter and has a few likes and dislikes. For instance, she loves ice cream and bulldogs, but dislikes broccoli and wet sneakers on linoleum. Cestari always carries around a notebook to jot down ideas, and she finds that writing longhand is the best method for her, even if it is the slowest. She finds that looking at a blank piece of paper is less intimidating than staring at a blank computer screen. Additionally, she enjoys the variety of pretty notebooks and pens that are available to use. The Best Kind of Magic is Cestari's first young adult novel, and she is excited to share it with the world.
