Christine Wenger

Christine Wenger is a successful American author, known for her work in the romance and cozy mystery genres. She has written several series, including the Gold Buckle Cowboys series and the Comfort Food Mysteries series. Prior to her writing career, Wenger worked in the criminal justice field for many years. She earned two Master's degrees from Fordham University, one in Probation and Parole Studies and the other in Sociology. However, she feels that her studies did not prepare her for her true passion: writing novels.

In her spare time, Wenger enjoys watching bull riding with her husband, Jim. She also conducts research for her Comfort Food Mysteries series by visiting diners in both the U.S. and Canada. Wenger's first book was a short story titled "The Lady and The Cowboy," which was aimed at beginner adult readers. She sold this book to Laubach Literacy publishers, and it was later selected as one of the top books for new adult readers by the Public Library Association's Publishers Liaison Committee. Wenger's big break came in 2004 when she received a call from Susan Litman at Harlequin's Special Edition, then known as Silhouette. Since then, she has written several books for Harlequin and has become known for her captivating stories featuring cowboys of the west and southwest. Wenger is so confident in her writing that she believes readers will fall in love with her characters in less than 8 seconds.
