Chris Wallace

Christopher W. Wallace is a well-known history and nonfiction author, as well as an award-winning journalist. He was born in Chicago, Illinois, on October 12, 1947, to Mike Wallace, a CBS "60 Minutes" reporter, and Norman Kaphan. When Wallace was just a year old, his parents divorced, but he was fortunate enough to have his mother remarry a few years later. His stepfather, Bill Leonard, was the President of CBS News, which likely contributed to his early interest in journalism and the news.

Wallace's passion for journalism was ignited at a young age when he was hired as Walter Cronkite's assistant during the Republican National Convention in 1964. He attended the Hotchkiss School as a teenager and upon graduation, enrolled at Harvard College. It was during his time at Harvard that Wallace had the opportunity to hone his reporting skills while working for the student radio station "WHRB." He also participated in the student occupation of University Hall in 1969 and even had the chance to sign off a report while being detained.

In addition to his work as a journalist and author, Wallace is also a professional poker player. He has written several books on the subject, including "No Limits: The Fundamentals of No-Limit Holdem" and "Short Stack Ninja," which have become best-sellers. Wallace's writing on poker regularly appears in magazines and on poker training sites. He currently resides in Las Vegas with his fiance Jordan, and together they enjoy hiking, photography, travel, and ice cream.
