Charlotte Young was born and raised in a small town in Texas. From a young age, she realized that she was more adventurous than her conservative friends. This passion for exploration and adventure led her to travel the world, an experience that opened up new opportunities for her and helped her discover her passion for writing romance novels. After her travels, she returned home to the south and became a mother and aunt. She is grateful for the experiences she has had exploring other cultures and different ways of life and is delighted to share her emotions and experiences through her writing.
Charlotte Young currently lives near the Yarra River in Melbourne, Australia, with her family and animals. She has a deep love for writing and storytelling, which is evident in her work as a writer and editor for various parenting publications. She was also the co-publisher of Barefoot Magazine for three years. Her non-fiction book for mothers and her debut novel for young adults, "Ora's Gold," were released in August 2016. "Ora's Gold" is a rollicking read set in a dystopia that has been compared to the work of Margaret Atwood.
In addition to her writing, Charlotte is also passionate about movement, with a focus on mindfulness and embodiment. She dreams of one day combining these two passions and offering a workshop that incorporates both writing and dance. Her family is her biggest achievement, and she is dedicated to spending time with them. She continues to publish books from home, grateful for the opportunity to balance her love of writing with her love of family.
