Cathy Williams is a bestselling romance author from Warwickshire, United Kingdom. She was born in the West Indies on the small island of Trinidad, where she spent much of her childhood. Growing up in Trinidad, Williams was inspired by the hot, lazy tropical island, which would later become a source of inspiration for her writings.
Williams had never written anything before apart from school essays, and she started her writing career from scratch. She has been writing Mills & Boon romances since 1990 and has fulfilled her ambition to pursue a career in writing. She believes in the power of perseverance and encourages would-be writers to have faith and go for it. She derives inspiration from the peaceful countryside of middle England, her many friends, and her experiences living in Trinidad.
Williams lives in Warwickshire with her husband and three children, Charlotte, Olivia, and Emma. When she's not writing, she is hard-pressed to find a moment's free time in between the millions of household chores and being a one-woman taxi service for her daughters' never-ending social lives. She has a love of cooking and enjoys spending time with her four grandchildren. Now that her three girls have left home, she lives in West London with her two beautiful little dogs, who are great company. She believes that anything is possible if you put your mind to it and encourages all would-be Mills and Boons writers to get those keyboards out and have a go.
