Catherine Cooper is a bestselling American author and freelance journalist who currently resides in the Pyrenees in France with her two teenage children and husband. She is well-known for her love of skiing and is an avid participant in the sport. As a journalist, Cooper has written reviews of ski resorts, hotels, and travel for various publications, including the Daily Mail, The Sun, Daily Express, The Times, The Guardian, and The Telegraph. She has also contributed to trade magazines such as Nursing Standard, The Pharmacist, and women's magazines such as Connexions and Living France.
Cooper's passion for writing can be traced back to her childhood, when she had her first story published at the age of seventeen. She thought herself to be majorly talented and invincible when she received her first acceptance, but it would be many years before she got anything else published. Cooper's writing career has included several unpublished thrillers for teens and a chick-lit novel set in TV production. The Chalet is her first published full-length novel.
