Cate Woods is a successful author of romantic comedies and women’s fiction. She has earned the title of a USA Today bestselling author, which is a testament to her talent and hard work. Contrary to what one might expect, Cate did not start her career in writing directly after her studies. Instead, she made the most of her degree in Anglo-Saxon Literature by working in the entertainment industry, making tea on TV programs such as "Who Wants to be a Millionaire," "The Big Breakfast," and "French & Saunders."
Cate's career took an exciting turn when she narrowly missed out on becoming a Channel 5 weather girl. She then moved into journalism, where she interviewed famous personalities, including John Prescott and John Bon Jovi. Cate also ghostwrote a weekly column for a footballer's wife and worked as one half of Closer magazine's gossip-columnist duo, "Mr & Mrs Showbiz." Her experience in journalism and ghostwriting provided her with a solid foundation for her future writing career.
In 2009, Cate decided to pursue a full-time career as a ghostwriter of celebrity autobiographies and novels. This experience allowed her to hone her writing skills and develop her unique voice. Cate's debut novel, "Just Haven't Met You Yet," was published under her own name, marking the beginning of her successful career as a novelist. She has since written two best-selling romantic comedies, "More Than a Feeling" and "The Christmas Guest" under the name Daisy Bell. Cate currently resides in London with her husband and two children, but she often escapes to her family home in the Vermont mountains.
