C.G. Cooper is a highly accomplished American author, best known for his military thriller and young adult novels. He is the writer of the Corps Justice series, which is dedicated to his family and the unsung heroes of the U.S. armed forces, with a special place in his heart for his fellow Marines.
Cooper's love for writing was inspired by his upbringing on a diet of Dungeons & Dragons and the travels of a Navy family. After graduating from the University of Virginia with a degree in Foreign Affairs, he served in the U.S. Marine Corps as an infantry officer for six years. His final Marine duty station in Nashville, Tennessee, left a lasting impression on him, and he fell in love with the city's laid-back lifestyle.
Cooper's successful writing career includes numerous books, such as the Corps Justice novels, the Patriot Protocol series, and the Chronicles of the Benjamin Dragon series. He is also the founder of The Mentor Code. His novel, Chain of Command, won the 2020 James Webb Award presented by the Marine Heritage Foundation for its portrayal of the United States Marine Corps in fiction. Despite not chasing awards, Cooper was honored to receive this recognition.
Cooper currently resides just south of Nashville with his wife, three children, and their German shorthaired pointer, Liberty, who has become a popular character in the Corps Justice novels. His first published novel, Back to War, was written as a side project and spawned many follow-on novels, several exciting spinoffs, and launched his career. Cooper's heart is evident on every page of his novels, which are filled with high-octane action, slow-burn thrills, and gut-wrenching drama.
