Bradley P. Beaulieu is an accomplished American fantasy author, best known for his series The Lays of Anuskaya and The Song of the Shattered Sands. Beaulieu began writing his first fantasy novel in college, but he set it aside as life intervened. His passion for writing was rekindled in the early 2000s, and he dedicated himself to honing his craft under the guidance of notable writers such as Nancy Kress, Joe Haldeman, Tim Powers, Holly Black, and Michael Swanwick.
The Lays of Anuskaya series, comprised of The Winds of Khalakovo, The Straits of Galahesh, and The Flames of Shadam Khoreh, garnered Beaulieu numerous accolades, including two Hotties for Debut of the Year and Best New Voice on Pat's Fantasy Hotlist, a Gemmell Morningstar Award nomination, and several top debut listings in 2011. The Song of the Shattered Sands series, including Of Sand and Malice Made, Twelve Kings in Sharakhai, With Blood Upon the Sand, and A Veil of Spears, has also been well-received, with Twelve Kings in Sharakhai appearing on 25 Best of 2015 lists and receiving a 2016 Gemmell Legend Award nomination.
In addition to his success with these series, Beaulieu's short stories have been featured in various publications, such as Realms of Fantasy Magazine, Orson Scott Card's Intergalactic Medicine Show, and Writers of the Future 20. His work has also been recognized by the Million Writers Award and the L. Ron Hubbard Writers of the Future Award. Beaulieu continues to work on upcoming projects, including an Arabian Nights epic fantasy and a Norse-inspired middle-grade series.
