Bodie Thoene

Bodie and Brock Thoene are a husband and wife team who have made significant contributions to the Christian historical fiction genre. The pair have written numerous successful novel series together, including the Saga of the Sierras, A.D. Chronicles, and the Zion series. Bodie began her writing career at a young age, working as a journalist for her local newspaper and later for John Wayne’s Batjac Productions and ABC Circle Films. She was described by Duke as “a writer with talent that captures the people and the times!” Brock is also an essential part of the team, holding degrees in history and education.

Together, Bodie and Brock have written over 65 different books on historical fiction, which have sold more than 35 million copies worldwide and have been translated into over 20 different languages. Their writing has been recognized with 8 ECPA Gold Medallion Awards, highlighting their skill and mastery in capturing the hearts and minds of their readers. The couple has four adult children and eight grandchildren and split their time between London, California, Nevada, and Hawaii.

Bodie began her career as a journalist in her teens and worked for major periodicals such as the World Report, the U.S. News, the Saturday Evening Post, and The American West. She also gained valuable experience as a researcher and writer at the ABC Circle Films and the Batjac Productions. Brock holds degrees in education and history and is an essential partner in the writing process.
