Barbara Metzger

Barbara Metzger is a highly acclaimed author, best known for her historical romance novels, particularly those set in the Regency era. She has written over three dozen novels and a dozen novellas, establishing herself as a prolific and talented writer in her genre. Metzger's debut novel, "Bething's Folly," was published in 1981, marking the beginning of a long and successful career.

In addition to her work as a fiction author, Metzger has also worked as an artist, editor, greeting card verse writer, and proofreader. Her diverse skill set and experience have no doubt contributed to her success as a writer. Metzger's novels have won numerous awards, including the prestigious RITA award from the Romance Writers of America, the National Reader's Choice Award, and the Madcap award for humor in romance writing. Metzger has never married and currently resides in Montauk with her rescue long-haired Chihuahua, Tino. She enjoys volunteering at the Montauk public library, yard sailing, beach combing, and gardening.
