Adam Haslett

Adam Haslett is an acclaimed American author of literary fiction, best known for his short story collection "You Are Not a Stranger Here" and his novel "Union Atlantic." Haslett was born in December 24, 1970, and has had a successful writing career, with his work translated into 18 different languages.

Haslett is a graduate of Swarthmore College, the Iowa Writers' Workshop, and Yale Law School. He has also been a visiting professor at the Iowa Writers' Workshop and Columbia University. His journalism and fiction have been featured in numerous publications, including The Financial Times, Esquire, New York Magazine, The New Yorker, The Guardian, Der Spiegel, The Nation, and The Atlantic Monthly.

Haslett's short story collection was a finalist for both the Pulitzer Prize and the National Book Award. His work has also been included in The O'Henry Prize Stories, Zoetrope All-Story, The Atlantic Monthly, and Best American Short Stories. He has received fellowships from the Rockefeller Foundation, the Guggenheim Foundation, and the Fine Arts Work Center.

In 2006, Haslett won the PEN/Malamud Award for achievement in short fiction stories, and he has also been awarded the PEN/Winship Award for the best book by a New England author. Haslett's accomplishments as a writer are a testament to his talent and dedication to the craft of literary fiction. He currently resides in New York City.
